As they say, one person junk is another person’s treasure. That holds very true for a rare Apple 1 computer that ended up in a recycle bin at a Silicon Valley e-waste recycle center.

The woman dropped off the computer without know the worth of the Apple 1. It brought $200,000 at auction. The Clean Bay Area Company’s policy is to split half the proceeds with the original owners. The warehouse asked the lady to come over because they had a check for her of $100,000.

The lady got rid of it after cleaning out her garage after her husband died, not knowing the worth of the computer. There were only 200 Apple 1 computers ever made, so they are very rare indeed!
