We all need any signs that spring isn't just a rumor. One sign that spring is on the way is the annual Boston Red Sox Truck Day.

It's an odd tradition, where fans watch as equipment gets loaded onto a truck outside of Fenway Park and heads south to Fort Myers, Florida. Wouldn't you love to be on that truck!

The truck is being loaded this morning and is set to leave Fenway Park by noon today.

Truck Day began in 2003.

According to the Red Sox, here's what will be packed onto the truck.

  • 20,400 baseballs
  • 1,100 bats
  • 200 batting gloves
  • 320 batting practice tops
  • 160 white game jerseys
  • 300 pairs of pants
  • 400 t-shirts
  • 400 pairs of socks
  • 20 cases of bubble gum
