Are you ready to help the state of Maine and become a ‘stink bug’ detective? Instead of the FBI you would be working for the 'SBI.' (The Stick Bug of Investigation)

The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry are looking for your help to find out how widespread in Maine stink bugs are.

These brown bugs are a major pest for farmers and boy-do-they stink. They have already spread to 44 states including Maine but entomologists don’t know how widespread they are in Maine and what the risk to crops will be.

On newsobserver.com the state is asking residents to be on the lookout for the bug and report sightings via an online survey. The state's requiring a photo of the stink bug to make sure it's the right insect.
