Maine Gas Prices Down Again This Week

Much like the limbo, Mainers are thinking how low can they go? Gas prices in Maine were down a little over three cents per gallon this week for a statewide average of $1.88 per gallon. Nationally, the average gas price is $1.79 per gallon, also down three cents per gallon.

That's according to the price-monitoring website GasBuddy.com.

The cost of a barrel of oil has gone back above $30 and is at $33.81. That could mean that gas prices will soon bottom out.

The lowest reported gas price in Maine is $1.70 per gallon at a gas station in Kittery.

Oklahoma has the lowest average gas prices at $1.46 per gallon.
