The Maine Ski Hall of Fame, located in Kingfield in the Sugarloaf Sports Outlet Building, will induct eight new members on October 28.

The 15th annual induction banquet will induct Bangor native Hunter Korn who was a U.S. World Cup team freestyle skier. Chip Cochrane who was a World Cup downhill racer and coach.

According to bangordailynews.com Ralph Ostlund of New Sweden who piled up an impressive number of medal in cross country skiing from the age of 50 years old into his 80’s.

The Maine Ski Hall of Fame was formed to recognize those Maine skiers that have brought distinction to Maine skiing or made significant contributions to the sport.
