The home of the mask that inspired the Seattle Seahawks logo is at the Hudson Museum in Maine. It is currently on loan to the Burke Museum in Seattle through July 27th.

It’s known as the Kwakwaka ‘waka mask and is native to tribes in the Pacific Northwest. When closed it has the look of the hawk beak on the Seattle logo, when opened, it has a human face.

The design has been streamlined over the years to give it a more aggressive look. Not sure if this is good luck or bad luck for the Patriots considering it usually hangs at the Hudson Museum in Maine, but will be in Seattle during the Super Bowl.
