Mr.’Fix-It’?

This summer I made a vow to myself to try new things.

With summer coming to an end, I decided to look back and see how I did.

I tackled painting the deck at my house. To many of you, this would be no big deal. For me, this is a huge project! When it comes to doing anything around the house, I usually call friends to help. This time I got the urge to buy some paint and a brush and do it myself!

I scraped the deck as best I could, then the fun part, painting the deck! For such a small deck, it sure was a lot of work! After 3 or 4 hours, I was done. I could see some mistakes, but I didn’t care, I felt proud for doing it myself! I was also amazed that I didn’t get that much paint on me!

There were some things that I didn’t try this summer that I wanted to, but I guess there’s always next year!
