There is a campaign going on by a nonprofit organization to replace Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill with a woman. The organization’s director, Susan Adas Stone, says it’s about making sure people know about these women.

There are 15 women on a list that the group chose from a field of 30. They would like to replace Jackson with one of the 15. Among those are Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman and Alice Paul, leaders in the women’s suffrage movement. Others on the list are Eleanor Roosevelt and Red Cross Pioneer Clara Burton.

Another reason for the movement of a new face on the 20 is because the year 2020 marks the 100th anniversary since women were given the right to vote.
