Crazy for Tacos and Tequila? Don’t Miss This Maine Epic Bar Crawl

If you love tacos & tequila and have been looking for a great way to spend a night out with friends, you need to sign up for this event.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo a week early with the 5^th Annual Portland Taco & Tequila Crawl.

Attendees of the event, which is on April 27, will have a chance to explore the bars and restaurants of Portland’s Old Port while enjoying tacos and tequila.  Most of the participating businesses are within walking distance.

There are currently seven participating establishments, but the organizers hope to add more.  Participating bars and restaurants include Gritty’s, Fore Plays, The Porthole, Glass Lounge, Three Dollar Dewey’s, Bonfire, and Flores Restaurant.

All participants will be entitled to three free tacos and drink specials at each stop.  Many stops will feature a DJ or live entertainment, and the crawl will be followed by a professional photographer.  That means there'll be some pretty epic pics of you participating in dance-offs.

If you purchase the VIP pass, you’ll get two additional tacos, a commemorative t-shirt, and early access.

One of the great things about this event is that it runs from the early afternoon through about 8 PM.  So you can either do it as an afternoon adventure, or do it as the lead-in to a full night of partying.  Also, it is not structured.  Your group can wander from place to place as you see fit.

General tickets are $23, and VIP tickets are $35.  And of course, you need to show proof that you are at least 21 years old to participate.

One of the things to keep in mind is that if you have a larger group, it may be difficult to get a table at some of the participating establishments.  The organizers are asking people to go with the flow by ordering at the bar and hanging out.
