Rescued Eagle is a ‘She’ not a ‘He’

post_bald-eagle_michael-changMaine’s oldest eagle on record is a 34 year old that was rescued in April is doing well and continues to recover.

When the eagle was recovered it was found to have serious injuries along its left wing consistent with losing a fight with another eagle.

When rescued the eagle was nicknamed ‘The Old Man’ because of the age of the eagle but according to WCSH6.com, it looks like a name change is in order though because they are almost certain the eagle is actually a ‘female.’

The eagle is being rehabilitated at Avian Haven in Freedom.
