I know it took a long time to get here (4 months) but now you know how really busy I am! Back in July I did the videotaping for the original song I wrote called 'Good Ol' Country Boys.' And now the video is here....IT'S HERE!!--more-->

It was a hot summer day in July when Chad Hood, Jen Day and I met up with James Stiles of Maine Wedding Films in Clinton. We then traveled to the parents of Becky Owens, who also lives in Clinton, who graciously let us use their land to do the filming of the outdoor scenes.

James gave us great direction and really took my ideas to heart. He even threw in some of his own! Chad was a natural to play my cowboy! Jen Day, a fabulous friend of mine, who just had a baby last week named Scarlet, did my hair and makeup.

Our shoot didn't go off without a few roadblocks. The truck we were supposed to use wasn't able to make it to the shoot, so I called Hight Ford in Skowhegan and they let us borrow a black suped-up Ford F-150.  They are so awesome! Also, the hay bales I ordered didn't come through, so I was lucky enough to buy some from Hemphill's in Vassalboro.

At Front Street Tavern, we met up again with my friends, Tami Hamel and Rodney Leach, who play the couple that go off together at the bar, Borderline Express and my friend, Dee Boulette who was so excited to be in the video!  Front Street is one of my favorite places to play. The crowd always rocks there!

A lot of people don't actually know how a video is made but the band needs to lip-sync or fake playing to a recording. This way whatever you film is in sync with the music. We did that twice: once with the band, another with the crowd dancing. We couldn't use all the footage but we used as much as we could.

B98.5 has been so supportive of everything I do and I'm so glad to work for a company that wants to see me succeed. We did a live broadcast from Front Street Tavern and had such a blast telling everyone to come on down for the shoot.

So here is the final product. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it. I can't wait to make more with my new band Dixon Road!
