Skowhegan River Fest August 2-7-16
Skowhegan River Fest starts tomorrow (8-2) and runs through Sunday, August 7th. It all kicks off with the Lions Club chicken barbecue lunch at 11:30 a.m. with another held at 5 p.m.
The Skowhegan Community band will perform at 5:30 under the Big Top. Thursday from 6-10 p.m. it’s Moonlight Madness Held at water and commercial streets the event is hosted by the Skowhegan Area Chamber of Commerce, this long-standing event includes kids' activities provided by Skowhegan Parks and Rec, live music, myriad vendors, and the famous bed races.
On Saturday, August 6 activities will be going on all day. Craft Fair, Family Fun Day, Raft Rides at the Kennebec River Gorge, , Bike Night with live music and a beer tent, and fireworks at 9. For all the events click below:
