‘Tanks’Giving Food Drive Starts November 4th [VIDEO]
The annual B-98.5 'Tanks'Giving Food Drive is coming up! It will be happening the week of November 4th. We'll be teaming up with the Maine Army National Guard again this year to collect non-perishable food for the Salvation Army of Augusta and Waterville.Money collected will be distributed to over a dozen food banks throughout the state. This is the largest annual food drive in the state.
We started the 'Tanks'Giving Food Drive in November 2000 and have collected tons and tons of food in the dozen years of the food drive.
Randy McCoy will be based at Camp Keyes inside the tent, by the tank.
The Maine Army National Guard and B-98.5 personalities will be at area Supermarkets collecting non-perishable food and monetary donations, for a total of 98.5 hours!
Here's the lineup of supermarket locations:
Monday, November 4th: Walmart in Augusta & Shaw's in Waterville (8am to 4pm)
Tuesday, November 5th: Goggin's IGA in Randolph & George's Banana Stand in Skwohegan (8am to 4pm) **** food collected that day stays in those local communities food banks.
Wednesday, November 6th: Shaw's in Augusta & Waterville (8am to 4pm)
Thursday, November 7th: Walmart in Augusta & Walmart in Farmington (8am to 4pm)
You can also drop by your donation anytime to Randy at the tent at Camp Keyes, we'll be there until 8 a.m. on November 8!
