The United Nations Happiness Report Has America at #17

The 2013 happiness report is out and the United States ranks 17^th of 156 countries. Last year, the United Nations happiness report had America higher but this year we dropped. The United Kingdom was below us at 22^nd, France 25^th, Germany at 26^th and China came in at 93^rd.

So what countries came in above the United States? Canada was 6^th, Israel 11^th, Costa Rica 12^th and Mexico (yes Mexico) at 16^th. At the top of the list for most happy were Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Sweden.

The saddest countries included Rwanda, Burundi, Togo and the Central African Republic.
