If you got a robocall telling you that you won a cruise, you could be entitled to cash as part of a class action lawsuit!

According to Top Class Actions, if you received telemarketing calls from Carnival, Norwegian or Royal Caribbean, between July of 2009 and March of 2014, you can claim benefits from a recent class action settlement.

According to Plaintiff Philip Charvat, he received prerecorded telemarketing calls from defendant Resort Marketing Group Inc. These calls allegedly offered promotions from Carnival, Norwegian, and Royal Caribbean cruise lines.  He claims the messages violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

U.S. District Judge Andrea R. Wood granted preliminary approval of the cruise line telemarketing class action settlement in July 2017. According to the agreement the defendants must create a settlement fund worth between $7 million and $12.5 million  If your phone was found in Resort Marketing Group’s database, and you got recorded telemarketing calls from Resort Marketing Group that offer deals from Carnival, Norwegian, or Royal Caribbean cruise lines between July 23, 2009 and March 8, 2014, you could be eligible for up to $300 per call - up to a maximum of $900.  Of course, the actual totals will depend on how many claims are made.
