12 Year Old Boy Has the Best Bracket
When Duke beat Wisconsin, 68-63 to win the NCAA Men’s National Championship, 12 year old Sam Holtz became a winner too. Holtz, a 6th grader from Lake Zurich, Illinois, won the top spot in ESPN’s bracket contest.
Sam is tied for first in the contest which offers a $20,000 Best Buy gift card and a trip to the 2015 Maui Jim Maui Invitational. ESPN said a raffle would be held to determine the winner but there is a problem for 12 year old Sam. The rules state you must be 18 or older to participate.
He did say his father helped him fill out the bracket, but it's unclear if he would be able to claim the prize through his father. Holtz said it wasn’t ‘dumb luck’ that he did so well, it was skill, he studied. Sam beat out nearly 12 million other brackets to get to the top spot.
