Meghan Kerr, 22, of Augusta pleaded guilty today to several assault charges that included reports of biting one police officer and also kicking another while attempted to be retrained and arrested according to a report by centralmaine.com

Ms Kerr was sentenced to 365 days in jail, with all but 90 days suspended. The sentence also included a year of probation for one count of domestic violence assault, two additional counts of assault, refusing to submit to arrest, criminal mischief, and violation of her condition for release as the charges are from two separate occurrences that took place in August 2020, and in May of 2021.

According to the report Kerr had assaulted a man that was living with her at the time, once Augusta police arrived two officers were also assaulted by Kerr as they were trying to take her into custody.

The previous arrest occurred when Kerr was arrested for cutting a woman in the stomach with a utility knife.

Meghan Kerrs attorney David Geller said he expects her to be released for time served, which has totaled 90 days. She will also have to pay a fine of $525.

She must meet her probation conditions including not to possess illegal drugs or weapons and can be subjected to random searches. Kerr is also required to have no contact with any of her victims.

In operation from about 1914 until 1970, the sickest TB patients in Maine were sent to this sanatorium in Central Maine.
