3 Snowstorms in The Next 6 Days For Central Maine? Charlie Lopresti at WGME 13 Says YES!

We all have to admit, it has been a pretty mild winter so far for most of us here in Vacationland, right? I mean, it's not even just the small amount of snow that we've received so far, but the temperatures have been pretty mild as well.

It looks, however, like we're going to get a decent amount of snow spread out over the next several days here in Maine. According to a Wednesday night Facebook post from WGME meteorologist, Charlie Lopresti, Maine is on track to get several snow events in a fairly short amount of time.

The first storm, which we've been talking about for the last several days, will move into Maine Thursday evening and overnight and be with us through much of the day on Friday. This initial storm is set to deposit about 2-5 inches of snow in the Central Maine area with slightly higher amounts to the south.

The next round of snow looks like it will be impactful to the Monday morning commute to work and school. This storm is going to move in during the evening and nighttime hours on Sunday and will be with us in Central Maine through at least part of the day on Monday. Currently, there are no snow total predictions on this storm, though we expect them to be released later today.

The third snowstorm is just under a week out and, at least at an early glance, looks like it will move in late afternoon/evening on Wednesday and remain in the area overnight into Thursday. As with the Sunday into Monday storm, we still don't have any estimates on snowfall amounts for Central Maine, however, according to Lopresti, these should be actual SNOW storms, and not the kind that mix with rain, sleet or other garbage precip. So that's good, right?!
