A 20-year-old Brunswick woman has died of the injuries she sustained in a Wednesday night crash in Lewiston.

According to an article on the WABI website, 20-year-old Adaysia Read died of her injuries over the weekend.

As we told you on Friday morning, Read was riding in a 2016 Toyota sedan with her infant daughter, and the child's father, when the vehicle left the road and hit a tree.

The father, 20-year-old Tyrell Willigar was pronounced dead at the scene.  The couple's daughter, 7-month-old Kinsley, passed away at the hospital a short time later.

Police continue to investigate the crash.  So far, they have not been able to determine exactly what happened.  However, they do believe that speed was a contributing factor in the crash.

According to the WABI article, Read was a domestic violence survivor.  In October 2024, shortly after Kinsley was born, Tyrell Willigar was arrested for domestic violence assault.  At the time, Read reportedly told police that he had attempted to strangle her.

Out on bail, Willigar was not supposed to have any contact with Read.  It is not clear why they were together on the night of the crash.
