Singer-songwriter Amanda Shires makes her solo debut on Austin City Limits on Saturday (Jan. 13), and The Boot has a sneak preview of her performance. Press play above to watch a clip from her set, of the song "The Way It Dimmed."

During her ACL set, the gifted fiddle and guitar player showcased both her songwriting and instrumental skills. Shires' setlist for the performance also includes “My Love (The Storm)," and "Wasted and Rollin'."

Shires shares the Jan. 13 Austin City Limits episode with her husband and bandmate, Jason Isbell; he joins Shires for the last two songs of her solo set, capturing the magic and harmony of their musical and personal collaboration. Both Shires and Isbell, along with his band the 400 Unit (just as Isbell plays with Shires, she is also part of his band), performed separate sets for the episode; it will be Isbell's second time appearing on the show, following his and the 400 Unit's 2013 ACL debut.

Shires released her newest solo album, My Piece of Land, in 2016, and is currently at work on another record. Isbell, meanwhile, is currently promoting his latest album, The Nashville Sound, which has earned him and the 400 Unit two Grammys nominations, including one for Best Americana Album. During Isbell's portion of the upcoming ACL episode, he and his band will play a six-song set that includes "Hope the High Road" and the Grammy-nominated "If We Were Vampires."

Fans can watch Shires and Isbell perform on Austin City Limits on Jan. 13 at 9PM ET on PBS. The episode will be available online for a short time after its debut as well; visit ACLTV.com for more information about air dates and times.
