According to WGME 13, a 41-year-old man from Augusta, Maine, has been arrested by federal officials for his alleged involvement in a murder-for-hire plot.

The United States Department of Justice, which is investigating the alleged plot, said that the Maine man traveled from Maine all the way to Tarrytown, New York, apparently to finish preparing for the murder of a businessman, the news station reported.

The US Department of Justice said that the Maine man had allegedly been hired, and offered a price of $50,000, to carry out the murder of the unidentified businessman, according to WGME. However, the news station reported, what the Mainer didn't know, is that he was conspiring to commit the murder with an agent from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Authorities then arrested, Hyunkook Korsiak, 41 of Augusta, Maine, and charged him with a single count of possession of a firearm by a felon and a single count of murder-for-hire.

What's more, the investigating officials uncovered many more items that the suspect had with him including two rifles, two handguns, a bulletproof vest, ammunition and even a latex max to disguise his identity, assuming when committing the actual murder, according to WGME.
