Augusta, Maine Woman Arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges Following Thursday Bust
In a time when the American drug epidemic has reached a fever-pitch, our local law enforcement is working harder than they ever have to ensure as much of this deadly poison stays off of our streets as possible.
Thankfully, especially here in Central Maine, we're surrounded by law enforcement personnel who work diligently day in and day out to make sure our street, workplaces, homes and communities stay as safe as humanly possible. And, for that, we're eternally grateful.
According to a press release from Augusta, Maine Police Department's Deputy Chief, Kevin Lully, the Augusta Police Department, along with assistance from the Kennebec County Sheriff's Office and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, executed a search warrant on Thursday that resulted in the seizure of contraband and the arrest of a local female.
Lully reported that officers searched the Augusta apartment at about 3:30 on Thursday. Officials say that upon their search of the residence, located at 39 Oak Street (Apt 2), they were able to locate firearms, cash money, contraband, and an undisclosed amount of drugs.
Following the search of the Oak Street apartment, police too 50-year-old, Corinna Miller, of Augusta, into custody on charges of Unlawful Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs.
This is a developing story and we will continue to keep the article updated as more information becomes available from local law enforcement.
As always we appreciate all of the hard the men and women of our local law enforcement puts in day in and day out.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
