B98.5’s New Artist Spotlight: Brandon Lay

Brandon Lay is not a name you might recognize immediately, but it is a name you won't soon forget. Born and raised in Jackson, Tennessee, he was a triple threat, songwriter, athlete, and mechanic in high school while also finding time to be a regular kid. Now he is signed with EMI Records and taking that small town experience with him. The son of a minister, just like his father he discovered he can command an audience's attention with music.

He has finished his debut album, either writing or co writing every song. You can see him all over the country opening for Kenny Chesney this summer, and playing festivals in California, Nebraska, and Arizona. Hear his debut single, Speakers, Bleachers, and Preachers.
