As winter quickly approaches, people across the state are wondering where they'll be able to meet.  Clearly, as the outside temperatures continue to drop, holding socially-distanced gatherings outside are no longer an option.

Well, one of the state's biggest employers has a solution.

According to News Center Maine, shipyard Bath Iron Works plans to open an indoor park for use by area residents and local businesses.

Called Beacon Park, it will be located at 31 Centre Street (The Grant Building).  The space has an air-filtration system (to prevent the spread of COVID-19), bathrooms, seating, and wi-fi.  It meets all current COVID-19 guidelines.

It will open on Monday, November 9th.

This is another instance of people, and businesses, coming together to overcome the difficulties caused by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
