Be Prepared - Rockland's Pen Bay ER Entrance & Parking Changing

Living on the Mid-Coast and traveling to Augusta for work, many of my supplemental activities like medical appointments are handled at the Pen Bay Medical Center campus in Rockland.

PenBay Medical Center is part of a larger Portland based nonprofit company called MaineHealth which has been doing several expansions and improvements to multiple facilities over the past few years.

Pen Bay Medical Center itself is due to undergo a large Emergency Department expansion which is due to begin next week (July 5th) and continue for the next two years.

Note that beginning July 5th, the entrance and parking for the emergency department is changing to a different part of the campus according to a press release by MaineHealth.

Be prepared to arrive, and park at a new parking area and entrance that will now be located on Wellness Avenue, which will require you to take a left at the fist stop sign and park between the Physicians Building and the main hospital building.

Signs will be in place to guide you to the new entrance however, it's always nice to have a heads-up when things change before you arrive to the E.R.

So, if you have friends or family in the mid-coast that may use Pen Bay Medical Center pass on this information before they need to go to the emergency room.
