The World’s Largest Bounce House is Coming to Maine This Summer
One of the highlights of my childhood in Aroostook County was the visits we got from traveling carnivals.
For many years, Houlton had a 'Spring Fling' that was located next to the Ames (now Mardens) and featured a midway by Smokeys Greater Shows. When I got a little older we also had a chance to visit the midway at the Houlton Agricultural Fair and Presque Isle's Northern Maine Fair.
Even though each of these midways had a slew of great kid-friendly rides, by far, my favorites were the bounce houses.
Who didn't love being able to spend a few carefree minutes bouncing around inside the house. I really love them! In fact, I loved them so much that there were at least a few times that I refused to come out when my time was up and my mom had to pay more tickets for me to stay inside the bounce house.
The World's Largest Bounce House is Coming to Maine
According to the Big Bounce America website, the world's largest bounce house will be coming to the Cumberland Fairgrounds this August 15th through August 17th.
Tickets, which are sold based on your age, allow you a certain amount of time inside the enormous 24,000 square foot bounce house. Not only does it cover a serious amount of space, it is also tall. The World's Largest Bounce House is 32 feet tall!
Additionally, most tickets allow you access to other inflatable attractions. The Giant, a 900 foot long inflatable obstacle course, for example.
This video gives you a pretty good idea of what the attraction is like:
Tickets range in price from $22 (for the little ones) to $35 (for the bigger kids).
