Yesterday at the Westbrook American Legion, Chad and I took Anderson down to see Chad's son Brad in his first guitar competition.

I'm not sure who was more nervous: Chad or Brad!

The competition was the 'Dick Curless Memorial Scholarship' from the Pine Tree State Country Music Association. He was up against some pretty steep competition. Chad and I were allowed to sing the songs he played to help keep him on rhythm. Chad and I sang 'Crusie' by Florida Georgia Line and I sang 'Stuck Like Glue' by Sugarland.

When they announced his winning, he was so happy. The judges commented that his strumming his way ahead of his age. He now has a new Ibanez guitar and 6 music lessons to help him get even better!

Congratulations, Brad, on a job well done! We are so proud of you!
