BREAKING: Fire At Huhtamaki Plant

According to WGME, a 4-alarm fire has broken out at the Huhtamaki Plant on College Avenue in Waterville.

According to a News Center Maine report, the fire broke out at about 5:45 PM.  Firefighters from Winslow, Fairfield, and Augusta assisted the Waterville Fire Department.  No injuries have been reported.

We've been told that Main Street and College Avenue are closed in front of the building due to the fire.  Please seek an alternate route.

Huhtamaki is a global company, headquartered in Finland, that makes food packaging products like cups, disposable silverware, and disposable plates.
