Two people were arrested in Waterville after a drug bust at the Waterville Grand Hotel led to the discovery of more than $100,000 worth of drugs.

According to the Kennebec Journal, 33-year-old Alexander Rizza and 28-year-old, Kayley Orcutt, both of Waterville, were arrested after the drugs were discovered on November 23rd.

According to Waterville's Deputy Police Chief, William Bonney, officer Jake Whitley noticed a stolen vehicle pulling into the Waterville Grand Hotel. Upon coming in contact with the occupants, it was discovered that the pair was Rizza and Orcutt.

A small amount of drugs were obtained during the arrest which prompted the obtaining of a search warrant to check their hotel room. As police searched the pair's room, they discovered 15 grams of crack and over a pound of deadly fentanyl. The street value of these drugs is estimated to be more than $100,000.

Rizza is being charged with Class C Theft by receiving stolen property, Class A aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, and Orcutt was charged with 'similar counts' according to Bonney.
