Lord Wolfson, the CEO of the clothing retailer Next, announced he would not be taking his $3.7 million bonus from the company. He will instead, give the money to the workers of the company as a thank you for a job well done. The company has had some tough times over the past three years and Wolfson wanted to show his appreciation for the dedication and hard word of his employees. With all the employees counted, the $3.7 million will give each person about $185, not much for the prices of things these days, but who wouldn’t like to get $185 as a good will gesture? Some have praised the generous move and hope other CEOs who receive extremely high bonuses will follow suit.
