Earlier this month, we told you that two people had been killed in a fiery crash in Readfield, Maine.

We now know the identities of the victims.

According to a recent article on the KJ website, 25-year-old Carl H. Hall, of Mount Vernon, and 28-year-old Emily R. Ouellette, of Auburn, were those killed in that crash.

The pair died when the Ford Flex SUV that Hall was driving left the road, collided with a tree, and burst into flames.  That crash happened just before 1 a.m. on April 21st on Main Street in Readfield.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash, but they do believe speed was a factor. Shortly before the crash, a Maine State Trooper spotted the vehicle traveling in excess of 70 miles per hour. The trooper reportedly came across the crash as they were looking for the speeding vehicle.
