Over the last couple of decades, Carrie Underwood has gone from a young phenom (when she was on American Idol) to a living country legend.  Yes, most of us here at the office think she's reached living legend status.  Obviously, she is no Reba or Dolly (yet), but she is getting there.

Not only does she have a slew of hits that everyone (whether they like country or not) knows, but she puts on an amazing performance.

Put it this way, a few years ago, we all bought tickets a year in advance of her tour!  She had been pregnant when the tour was announced, so we knew it was going to be a wait, but we also knew it was going to be worth the wait!

Just off her Denim & Rhinestones tour, we are getting word that she is going to be hitting the road for a few more shows later on this year.  And, she'll be teaming up with 80s rockers Guns N' Roses for these dates.  A legendary country artist from the 00s teaming up with a legendary rock group from the 80s and 90s.  What could be better?

The really great part is that one of these dates will be just down the road from Central Maine!  Well, not just down the road...  But definitely within road trip distance.

According to Taste of Country, the first show in the lineup will be in Moncton, New Brunswick!

After doing a quick search on Google Maps, it looks like it is about a 5 1/2 trip from the Augusta-area.  Still worth the drive, though!

The Moncton show will be on Saturday, August 5th.  The show will take place at Croix Bleue Medavie Stadium.  As a concert venue, the place holds somewhere around 30,000 people.  Keep in mind, though, that tickets for the G N' R show have been on sale since February.  So, it is possible that there may not be a whole lot left (especially with the Carrie Underwood announce).  Don't wait too long to get your tickets!  Get all the details and tickets HERE

The Montreal show will be on Tuesday, August 8th and there will be a show in Nashville on Saturday, August 26th.
