With only one week until the regular season, the New England Patriots have traded backup quarterback Ryan Mallett to the Houston Texans. Reports say the team had also had talks with the Dallas Cowboys and the Buffalo Bills.

FOOTBALL!  FOOTBALL!  FOOTBALL!!  Can you hear the excitement in my voice (insert female sarcasm here)?  Granted, Football is not my thing.  I don't understand the rules, penalties, or why it takes so gosh darn long to play.  But for some reason, football seems to captivate and hypnotize a huge majority of this nation.  Girls included.

The New England Patriots start their preseason against Washington tomorrow at you can hear the Patriots all season on B98.5. There are about 83 players on the roster right now but that has to be cut-down to 53 when the regular season starts.

Top picks in the NFL to go all the way this year are Seattle, San Francisco, Denver, New England and New Orleans. Makes sense since they all made to the playoffs last year. Seattle won it all with a win over Denver, but also beat New Orleans in the NFC Championship game.

On the weekend that new members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame are announced, the New England Patriots inducted Ty Law into its own Hall of Fame.

Here on Super Sunday I think back on two of these games that really standout in my memory. The first is the first time the New England Patriots won the big game. They beat St. Louis 20-17 on an Adam Venatieri 48 yard field goal as time ran out.

After a thrilling comeback win over the Saints last week, the Patriots will get right back into action this Sunday over their hated rivals, the New York Jets and B98.5 will be there!

It's a day New England sports fans will be talking about 20 years from now. It started with the Patriots taking on the undefeated New Orleans Saints and it ended with the ALCS Game 2 with the Boston Red Sox and Detriot Tigers.

After Thursday night's victory over the New York Jets, the New England Patriots are off to a 2-0 start, but the wins seem to have been a real struggle for the longtime dominator of the AFC East. Are they in trouble?
