$500,000 Bail Set for Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Elderly Waterville Woman
Mark Halle, 32 of Waterville is accused of sexually assaulting an elderly woman in Waterville earlier this month. Today (Feb. 17) the judge, in his case, set bail at $500,000. The state had requested that he be held without bail. The bail has a condition that Halle does not contact the victim or be near her residence.

$500 Reward Offered in Athens Burglaries
Both the Corner Store and Jim's Variety were robbed this past Saturday (Jan. 16) night in Athens. A $500 cash reward is being offered by the store's owners for information leading to the conviction of whoever committed the burglaries.
Gov. LePage Signs Bill to Help Fight Maine’s Drug Epidemic
Gov. Paul LePage yesterday (Jan. 19) signed a $3.7 million bill unanimously endorsed by lawmakers. The drug bill is in response to the growing number of overdoses and also the increase in demand for addiction treatment services in the state.
