Local Church Hosting Massive Christmas Celebration in Augusta, Maine
Christmas is such a magical time of the year.
While it is a religious holiday, nearly everyone observes it in some way.
Not surprisingly, some of the biggest Christmas celebrations are put on by local churches. Christmas pageants, Nativity scenes, midnight services, etc.
One of the state's largest Christmas celebrations is presented by Central Church.
In addition to having physical locations in Augusta and China, the church also has a massive online presence. Thousands of people across the country (probably the world) watch Central Church's streamed services. Additionally, the church holds services for the inmates of the Maine Department of Corrections and at assisted living facilities.
Central Church's mission is to: Love Jesus, Love Others, and Help Others Love Jesus.
One of the ways the church fulfills that mission is to put on amazing outreach events. These include Serve Central, Day (or Night) in the Park, Giving Hope, and Christmas at the Civic Center.
2024 Christmas at the Civic Center
Central Church has announced they'll be putting on their very popular Christmas at the Civic Center event in 2024.
The event features music, skits/trivia, and an inspiring message. As in years past, there will also be free family photobooth and free snacks & beverages.
There will also be a special service for younger guests.
This year's Christmas at the Civic Center will take place at the Augusta Civic Center on Monday, December 23rd. There will be two sessions: one at 4 PM and one at 7 PM. The doors will open an hour before each service starts. You are going to want to get there early so you can get a turn in the photo booth, get some snacks, and get good seats.
