For 12 years now the Academy of Country Music has gathered once a year at the historic Ryman Auditorium to recognize the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 53rd ACM Awards.

They give awards to people like, studio musicians, producers, and even awards for best venue and festival. This year is especially exciting for Maine because we have 2 local nominees, Aura, in Portland has been nominated for the Small Capacity Venue of the Year. Also nominated is local audio engineer, Adam Ayan of Gateway Mastering in Portland. He has been nominated for Audio Engineer of the Year. He has worked with names like, Bruce Springsteen, The Bee Gee's, Luke Bryan, Brantley Gilbert, and more.

The Honors take place August 22 in Nashville and will be broadcast on ABC days later. Congratulations to all the nominees.
