Overall, Luke Combs fans in Maine have been really lucky.  Despite the fact that a large chunk of the time he has been "famous" was during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have still had him visit our state several times.  He opened for Jason Aldean in 2018 and he had a Cross Insurance Center show a few months later.  Additionally, he did two massive shows in Boston in December of 2021 and he is going to be doing two shows in Bangor in September.

But, how could would it be if he performed a show right here in the heart of Central Maine?

Based on posts we have seen on his social media, he is planning to hit the road again in 2023.  And, in a recent Instagram post, he was looking for suggestions of places to bring his tour.

Needless to say, the post was flooded with comments.  So far, there have been over 75,000 comments on the post.  The suggestions for places he should perform range from  Michigan and Vermont to Australia and New Zealand.

You know what we need to see more of?  Comments suggesting he come to Central Maine - specifically, Augusta or Waterville.  We really need to get together to fix this!

Is it likely to happen?  Probably not, but it is worth the try!  If you want to comment on the post, just follow the link HERE.  And, be sure to tell your friends to comment on the post, too!

If he did choose Central Maine as one of those stops, where would he perform?  Well, we have a few ideas...

#1 - The Augusta Civic Center - The civic center is probably the largest performance venue in the Augusta / Waterville area.  Before there were venues in Portland and Bangor, the facility used to host the biggest touring acts.  According to Wikipedia, it has a capacity of about 5,000.

#2 - The Waterville Opera House - With just over 800 seats, it is a much smaller venue, but it is still one of the premiere performance spaces in the area.

#3 - Bowl In The Pines Amphitheater - Built in the 1930s, it is still one of the largest amphitheaters in the United States.  Over the last few years, many improvements have been done to the venue, making it one of the best in New England.  Get more details HERE.

#4 - The Windsor Fairgrounds - This idea may be a little far out, but we think it'd be really cool.  Especially now that Windsor is no longer a dry town. While not a common occurrence, the home of the Windsor Fair has been used as a concert venue before.  On several occasions, we hosted a concert at the fairgrounds.
