Country News: Keith Urban Back in Studio

Keith Urban’s current album is ‘Ripcord’ and was released in 2015 but he just announced he’s back in the studio recording for a new album. Not many details on what the project will sound like. On tasteofcountry.com, Urban said when the reboot of American Idol comes he admits he would consider being a judge again if the opportunity presented itself.

Sam Hunt is touring the country on his 15 in a 30 Tour, and according to tasteofcountry.com he's having just as much fun on stage as the fans in the audience. The 15 in a 30 tour gets its name from a line in the hit song ‘Body Like a Backroad’ which he released in February. Sam Hunt along with Marin Morris and Chris Jansen will be in Bangor tomorrow.

Trick Pony who had hits with ‘On a Night Like This’ and ‘Pour Me’ want their name back. Original members Heidi Newfield and Keith Burns (Ira Dean left the band) are in a dispute with a former manager over the name. According to tastofcountry.com a trademark on their name expired in 2014 and the manager picked it up. It’s not clear when the next step in the legal process will occur, but a Memphis-based federal judge will handle proceedings.\
