Country News: Rascal Flatts Releasing New Album

Rascal Flatts have announced the release details for their 10th studio album: Back to Us is due out on May 19. Jay DeMarcus adds that Back to Us takes its title from one of the record’s tracks, but it’s also a feeling that has been building around this new music. Gary LeVox notes that he and his bandmates were careful and deliberate when crafting the project.

Trace Adkins has remained a committed supporter of the USO throughout his career, performing for the troops when his schedule permits. The busy singer, songwriter and actor says that the shows are some of the most important things he does in his career though they leave him feeling an unexpected emotion. He said prior to his first U.S.O. tour he asked Wayne Newton what to expect and he told him ‘expect to feel guilty when you come home,’ and he did. Adkins realized they had to stay and he got to come home.

Reba McEntire's 1991 song 'Fancy' has inspired a musical. Fancy is a song that is known all over the world and in mid-March, ‘Fancy’ will be at the Peccadillo Theatre in New York City. Just as in the song ‘Fancy,’ the musical Fancy is about a poor young girl (named Fancy, of course) who is pushed out of her house by her mother and has to survive on the streets. Despite her circumstances, Fancy is determined to make music and eventually is set on a path toward country music stardom.
