Coyote Night Hunt Underway in Maine

The state of Maine’s annual ‘night hunt’ for coyotes is underway. It started Saturday and will run through August 31. On bangordailynews, it’s legal to hunt coyotes year round but only at night during this time period.

The state has no bag or possession limit on coyotes, which live all over the state. The state has about 15,000 coyotes.

The hunting at night is said to be pretty good because coyotes are more active at night.
