We are fortunate to live in a place that has so much to offer in the way of entertainment.

We've got beaches, places to hike, places to bike, scenic roads for driving, plenty of party bars, and some of the best restaurants in all of New England.

Even better, most of it is affordable to the average Mainer.

So, when you and your special someone are looking for a place to go on a date there are never a lack of options.

But, what is the best date spot in Maine?

The Best Date Night Spot in Maine

According to a recent article from Love Food, the best date night restaurant in Maine is Portland's Twelve.

The restaurant focuses on a fine dining version of New England fare.

The article explains:

Reserve a spot at the chef's table to provide a talking point as you watch the experts at work or go for a corner table if it's intimacy you're after. Wherever you sit, the food will wow: dishes include cod with lobster saffron bisque, and strawberry galette with pistachio and buttermilk

For a fancy night out, the prices are not all that wild. For $100, you can get a four course meal which includes scallops, plus an appetizer, main course, and dessert.

Entrees from the a la carte menu range in price from $34 to $48. Desserts are about $18.
