A 'Day of Hope' will be happening on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Darling's Waterfront Pavilion. Several local churches, along with the city, will be offering free groceries, winter coats and services, including haircuts, manicures, information on resume writing and job hunting, health and dental screenings and live music.

It's all from 9 until 3 on Saturday, September 20th at the Darling's Waterfront Pavilion.

The Day of Hope will also feature a Kid's Zone with bounce houses, games and other fun activities.

This will be one of a dozen Day of Hope events to be held in the Northeast in conjunction with Convoy of Hope. That organization will be providing $26,000 worth of nonperishable food on September 20th in Bangor.

The Convoy of Hope was founded in 1994 and over the past twenty years, more than 63 million worldwide have been served and helped by Convoy of Hope.
