The Augusta Elks is a huge partner of the American Red Cross, and they are at it again. The Augusta Eks is hosting another blood drive as the need for blood donors is growing rapidly and, at this time, higher than it has ever been.

The blood drive will occur at the Augusta Elks Lodge, located at 397 Civic Center Drive in Augusta, on Monday, May 17th, and run from 1 pm to 6 pm. They ask that you pre-register for your appointment vs. walk-ins to ensure all volunteers and donors stay safe.

Pre-scheduled appointments will help staff keep the number of donors in the building at one time to CDC recommended guidelines and keep them socially distant. Face coverings or masks will be required, and donors will be required to have their temperatures checked before entering.

Click HERE to pre-register for this event; you can do so by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS, visit RedCrossBlood.org, or thru the Red Cross Donor App. Text "BLOODAPP" to 90999 to download the free app. Donating blood takes on average 1 hour of your day but could potentially give someone in need another shot at life.
