An Augusta man and a man from New York were arrested yesterday (Nov. 23) in Augusta on drug charges.

The Augusta Police Department, Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office, Maine State Police and City Code Enforcement Officers executed a search warrant at 117 Bridge Street. 1.8 grams of Crack Cocaine, 1.8 grams of Heroin and $700.00 in cash were seized during the execution of the warrant.

According to a press release from the Augusta PD, Lawrence Murphy, 42, of Augusta, was arrested on two Counts of aggravated trafficking schedule drugs. Christopher Williams, 26, of Rochester New York, was arrested on aggravated trafficking in heroin and aggravated trafficking in crack cocaine. Murphy's bail was set at $10,000. Williams bail was set at $25,000.
