Emerald Ash Borer Insect Found in Maine

An invasive insect that has already killed hundreds of millions of ash trees has been found in Maine.
The emerald ash borer, a destructive insect from Asia has been discovered in Madawaska and federal officials are getting ready to implement a statewide emergency response plan.

According to bangordailynews the Maine Department of Agriculture is in the process of implementing a response to the insect.
