As the days get shorter and the weather gets cooler, we turn our attention toward the upcoming holidays...  Especially Halloween!

Over the last few years, Central Maine has been blessed by a variety of Halloween events and attractions.  Trunk-or-treats, Halloween parties, haunted trails, and haunted houses.

Without a doubt, one of the most loved haunted attractions in our area is the United Volunteers of Maine Haunted House.  Around for decades and put on completely by volunteers, it is an amazing haunted attraction.  And, even cooler, each year is different.  Even if the location remains the same, the haunt changes enough that you will barely recognize it from year to year.

As it was last year, this year's haunted house will be located in the old Michael's spot at the Marketplace at Augusta.  That's right next to Regal Cinemas and Barns & Noble.

The planned opening date for this year's haunted house will be Friday, October 14th.  The haunt will also be open on October 15th, October 21st, October 22nd, October 23rd, October 27th, October 28th, October 29th, and October 30th.  Plus, they are planning an extra scary night on Halloween night!
