
Finland Company to Manufacture Flying Boats in Maine
Looks like Maine will become home to the manufacturing of ‘flying boats.’ A company from Finland, Atol USA Inc. wants to make Brunswick Landing the U.S. headquarters and production base for amphibious aircraft.
The amphibious aircraft will be a light sport craft with high-performance capabilities. According to atoll.us the wings fold, weighs 826 pounds empty and a standard model costs $179,000.
Other aviation companies currently operating at the former Navy base include One Aviation, Tempus Jets, Flight Level Aviation, MVP Aero, Brunswick Aviation Services and Maine Coastal Flight.
