Normally during the winter getting firewood is too difficult. This year is different because of the freezing temperatures we have experienced.

One firewood dealer says the average wait time for delivery of kiln-dried wood in the winter is usually about two weeks, but this year it's seven weeks.

According to usnews.com with the demand for dry wood high suppliers are having a hard time keeping up.

Part of the problem is that residents waited too long to get their orders in this year because of the warm fall.
