Flooding Causes Road Closure in Waterville, Maine
If your travels normally take you down Armory Road in Waterville, you may have noticed that a portion of that road was blocked off on Friday.
We are now getting word about why that section of road is closed.
According to an article on the KJ website, a water main break on Armory Road prompted the closure of the street. The closure affected the section of the street between Main Street and Drummond Avenue.
A post on the Kennebec Water District Facebook page said, in part:
The Kennebec Water District is experiencing a main break on Armory Road near Industrial Road. Crews are on site to start the repair. Armory Road is closed between Main Street and Drummond Avenue to through traffic. Industrial Road can be accessed from Drummond Avenue.
At the time of the writing of this article, the road is still closed.
It is not known how long the repairs will take.
