According to WGME 13, a Maine man, and former owner of a Lobster Pound in the state, has died following a vehicle/pedestrian crash.

WGME reports that Edward Tibbets, 65 of Boothbay Harbor, was struck and killed by a 17-year old driver while crossing a highway with his wife on foot.

The crash happened in the city of St Augustine, Florida last Saturday morning. Tibbets wife reportedly sustained minor injuries though Edward Tibbets passed away at the hospital, the news station confirms.

Currently, there is no indication on whether or not charges will be filed against the 17-year-old driver, or if the driver was doing anything illegal at the time of the crash.

Edward Tibbets and his wife had been staying in the area at a close-by campground, according to WGME.
